Restaurants in Bali
By eating in Bali, you imbibe the essence of the island for no other place on earth is so well represented by its cuisine. The abundance of rice in meals reflects its fertile landscape while the aromatic spices represent the warmth of its people.
Never miss an invitation to home-cooked food if you make friends on the way. Outside the homes, you can relish traditional Balinese food in warungs (street stalls) and kaki lima (food carts). Popular Bali dishes include lawar (chopped coconut, garlic, chilli along with pork and chicken meat), bebek betutu (duck stuffed with spices, wrapped in banana leaves and coconut husks and cooked in a pit of burnt embers) and babi guling (spit-roast pig) stuffed with chilli, turmeric, garlic and ginger.
Whether you're looking for something new to eat or just want to check out your old favorites, rest assured you will find a restaurant to suit your taste and budget no matter which part of Bali you are visiting.
