Outdoor activities in Bali
For most people, Bali is an island to relax and rejuvenate on its many scenic beaches. Yet, Bali is all that and much more. The island plays host to a number of outdoor activities.
Helicopter rides
Gain a bird's eye view of Bali, one of the greatest wonders of nature. The air safaris open up all the magical vistas of Bali: mountains, islands, turquoise seas and ancient volcanoes. Also enjoy the sights of Mount Agung, Lake Batur, Lake Bratan with its untouched forest, beaches, Mount Lempuyang and terraced rice fields.
Trekking
Explore the local life and gain an insight into the daily lives and culture of the people of Bali through trekking tours. Bali's roads serve as playgrounds, meeting places, and even work areas for some people and so there is no better way than trekking to mingle with the locals and get a taste of their warm hospitality. Trekking tours take tourists across scented rice fields, beaches, mountains and volcanoes. All visitors to Bali are advised to carry a compass, map and a rain gear even if the weatherman predicts sunshine.
Horse riding
Join a horse-riding trek that takes you through stunning rice fields, bushland, and across rivers. Ride through lush green, fragrant rice terrains and the beached along the coast of Bali. The well-trained horses and first class equipment, makes horse riding in Bali suitable for all. Visitors are advised to wear long pants and strong shoes.
Volcano climbing
Volcanic climbing is an exhilarating activity in Bali. All mountains provide for easy accessibility given the large number of tourists that have visited them over the years. Some of the craters are also accessible by motorbikes. Popular destinations include Mt. Batur and Mt. Agung and Mt. Batukau in the west. Avoid climbing during the rainy season and do take a guide along.
Paragliding
Paraglide in the paradise that is Bali, and enjoy the spectacular views of Bali's coastline. Ride in tandem with an expert instructor and if you want to go out all alone, training is also available.
Golfing

Most golf clubs have shoes and equipment on hire and so you don't have to bring your own gear. Visitors to Bali can choose from three golf courses each with its own unique and challenging attributes:
