Nightlife in Bali

Nightlife in Bali starts late, usually at midnight and so if you are planning a night out, it is better to start late, at around 1 am. In Bali, traditional performing dances can be seen any night of the week, though many have been adapted to suit foreign audiences. Discos are easy to find in resort areas like Kuta. Most five star hotels have discos but independent ones also abound. Alcohol (generally beers) is as widely available as are the bars to drink in.

Sanur and Nusa Dua

Sanur offers a myriad of choices to get a taste of entertainment and nightlife in Bali. Many modern entertainment venues compliment traditional village activities and provide the tourists the perfect settings to relax and wind off their day.

  • The Jazz Grille: The place attracts tourists and locals alike with live bands. There is the Kafe Wayang in the same building that offers live music with a good local band and jam sessions

  • Janger: This is the only disco in Sanur

  • No 1 Club: This is a nightclub with flashy light shows and expensive drinks

  • The Trophy Club: There is a pool side table here and live music on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday evenings

  • Bali International Sports Club: The club delivers sports telecasts from all over the world and is lively and crowded during major sports events

  • Galeria: The Galeria center in Nusa Dua offers free Balinese dancing each evening at around 7.30 pm
