Golf Courses in Bali
Bali is a paradise for the golf aficionados and the fine tropical weather adds to the pleasure of the game. Golf in Bali, no longer seen as elite past time, is fast emerging as a popular form of recreation. Most golf clubs have shoes and equipment on hire and so you don't have to bring your own gear. Visitors to Bali can choose from three golf courses each with its own unique and challenging attributes.
Bali Golf & Country Club
Voted as one of Asia's 5 Best Golf Courses by Fortune Magazine USA, the Bali Golf & Country Club is an 18-hole course set amidst incredibly beautiful natural surroundings within the Nusa Dua enclave.
The golf course offers visitors to Bali three distinct playing environments. Holes 1 through 9 play inland and uphill through dense tropical vegetation and offer spectacular views of Nusa Dua and the Indian Ocean. Holes 10 through 16 are set amidst gently sculptured fairways through a soothing coconut grove while holes 17 and 18 offer the golfer beautiful seaside views.
The golf course includes facilities such as shoes, clubs and carts, stylish clubroom, restaurant, villa accommodation, swimming pool and spa.
Nirwana Bali Golf Club
This is considered to be Bali's most impressive course. Designed to championship standard by legendary golfer Greg Norman, the 18-hole golf course is part of an integrated resort that covers 101 hectares of prime land including a 5-star hotel, spa and exclusive residential villas. Golfers can take in the spectacular views of the Indian Ocean and the sacred Hindu sea temple of Tanah Lot. The course has been voted by Asian Golf Monthly Magazine and Golf Digest Magazine as Indonesia's best golf course. Nirwana is also the only course in Bali that has a team of all-female caddies and a Course Marshall.
This visual masterpiece offers panoramic views of the Indian Ocean and the famed Balinese landscapes. The golf course is a 30 minute scenic drive from Kuta and is within easy distance of the famous temple of Tanah Lot, Ubud and the capital city of Bali, Denpasar.
Bali Handara Kosaido Country Club
Situated at an at an altitude of 1.142 meters above the sea level in the scenic hills of Pancasari village, this 18-hole course was designed by Peter Thompson, Michael Wolferidge & Associates.
